4D Trucking & Logistics is a fast-growing transportation company dedicated to safety, compliance, and exceptional service. We’re looking for a motivated Safety Assistant to join our team and support the day-to-day operations of our Safety Department. Position Overview
The Safety Assistant will support the Safety Department with administrative tasks, compliance management, and communication with drivers and team members. This is an entry-level position with opportunities for growth and development within the company.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and organize driver qualification files (DQFs).
Assist with driver onboarding, including collecting documents and setting up records.
Schedule and coordinate random drug and alcohol tests.
Input and track driver compliance data (CDLs, medical cards, endorsements).
Collect accident-related documentation (photos, statements, reports).
Prepare drafts of safety performance reports and maintain records.
Communicate safety reminders and minor compliance updates to drivers.
Support training initiatives by assisting with logistics and materials preparation.
Monitor and update safety files, manuals, and records as needed.
Provide general administrative support to the Safety Department.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in a related field is a plus).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Interest in the transportation or logistics industry is preferred.
Previous experience in an office or administrative role is a plus but not required.
