Hello! I've just finished a book I've been working on for four years and I'm set to submit the manuscript to the publisher by April first. Before I can do that, I need to go through the entire manuscript with very specific but basic grammar-related questions - things that have just slipped my mind over the years, like "Does this comma go here, or there, or nowhere?" or "Do I capitalize this? I forget."
I'm a professional writer with more than twenty years of experience behind me and an education in creative writing through Oxford Uni. Doesn't mean I'm perfect and a second brain is necessary in such literary matters.
To be clear, I've written the autobiography of a particular public music figure and we are self-publishing. I did not pay for editing services because it would have been thousands of dollars I do not have! Ideally, I would like to meet with you via Zoom and screen-share the manuscript. It is about 300 pages via Google Docs, but not every page has edits, and they are EXTREMELY basic. Please see the attached photos as an example. The first 100 pages have no edits such as these.
So, in essence, this will be a very easy job! I just need to say, "Ok, with this part here, do I do this, or this - I don't remember."
