We deliver safe, reliable energy to more than 1,200 communities.About The PositionThe National Account Manager will represent Ameren Illinois, Clean Energy Transition Organization, to strengthen and build relationships with executive decision makers at the corporate level, showcasing our leadership and dedication to national customers within the Ameren Illinois territory. Strategically align and partner on policy, programs, regulatory framework, expansion and retention, innovative technologies, clean energy transition, future of natural gas and other aligned strategic initiatives that support AIC's overall growth strategy.Key responsibilities include:

Act as a single point of contact between National Customers and Ameren Ill, serving as their Trusted Energy Advisor.

Proactively discover and understand industry needs and trends to bring back innovative future customer solutions and strategies.

Act as the EEI and EPRI liaison

Create Strategic Partnerships with customers to promote innovative Products/Services and Policies

Develop a national accounts sales process to market, attract and manage new leads that support CET's pilots and programs.

Collaborates with other industry national account managers to share best practices and identify opportunities to leverage new offerings for customers.

Act as EEI & EPRI liaison leveraging innovation solutions and technologies that support the customers energy goals and CET's overall strategic initiatives

Strategically align with the customer to support and uncover business growth opportunities in AIC territory that benefit both the customer and AIC.

Facilitate executive level strategic planning meetings with nationals' customers and Ameren Illinois leadership

Develop strategy to attract and support national customers to increase growth and partnerships within the Ameren Illinois service territory.

Demonstrate comprehensive and current knowledge of pertinent technical, business, regulatory, and industry issues related to key customers to gain credibility.

Knowledge in the basic concepts of electricity and natural gas. Demonstrate ability to be self-motivated, solve problems and exhibit strong analytical skills.

Represent AIC at; national level trade shows and conferences, stakeholder meetings, municipal boards and etc.

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university required. MBA or equivalent preferred. Seven or more years of relevant experience (e.g., utility, rates, financial,) required with four years of relevant relationship management nationally, engineering, accounting, sales and/or customer service experience required. Knowledge of Salesforce system preferred.In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:Strong understanding of Illinois' regulatory environment; Thorough understanding of end-use technologies, distributed generation, energy services and new AIC rate structures; Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; Ability to convey information in a professional, competent manner while interfacing with individuals at all levels inside and outside AIC; Ability to prioritize, manage, and respond to the needs of customers; Strategic thinking with a keen ability to find solutions and make recommendations; Excellent presentation skills, including good listening and probing abilities; Willingness to travel; Proficiency with MS Office Suite of applications, salesforce; Strong Excel skills; Maneuverability within SharePoint Site and Ameren Customer Portals.Additional InformationAmeren’s selection process includes a series of interviews and may include a leadership assessment process.
