Inventory Coordinator

This position is responsible for coordinating the flow of, control the handling and storage of raw materials, and labels through the warehouse by effectively using available resources.  This position will also ensure accuracy of raw materials, packing material and label inventories. Inventory ManagementMonitor and maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials, packaging material and labels.Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure data accuracy.Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in coordination with purchasing, production, and accounting teams.Track material usage and update inventory systems accordingly.Communicate with vendors as needed to maintain inventory levels.Receiving and StorageVerify incoming shipments against purchase orders for accuracy in quantity and quality.Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of materials to maintain traceability and prevent contamination or mix-ups.Oversee the unloading, inspection, and documentation of all incoming raw materials.Data and Systems ManagementMaintain accurate records in the ERP or inventory management system. Generate and analyze reports on material usage, aging, and reorder points.Ensure compliance with documentation requirements for traceability and audits.Coordination and CommunicationCoordinate with Production and Scheduling to ensure raw materials are available when needed.Communicate with Procurement to manage reorder levels, lead times, and supplier performance.Collaborate with Quality Assurance to handle material holds, non-conforming product, and lot tracking.Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to optimize material flow, reduce waste, and improve warehouse efficiency.Support lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives within raw material storage areas.Participate in process improvement projects related to material control or supply chain operations.Compliance and SafetyFollow all company policies and safety procedures regarding material handling and storage.Maintain compliance with internal and external quality standards (e.g., ISO, GMP, FDA if applicable).Ensure hazardous materials are stored and documented according to regulations.
