82943BRJob Title:Research Process EngineerDepartment/Function:Human ResourcesJob Description:Research Process Engineer, Archer Daniels Midland Company, Decatur, IL. Drive process improvement projects by identifying and implementing new technologies in existing production. Conduct engineering studies to recommend process changes for industrial food, chemical, and biofuel processes. Evaluate existing production to enhance performance and efficiency. Prepare mass and energy balances of unit operations to identify opportunities for optimization. Design experiments for plant and pilot trails. Work with relevant teams, including the Center of Excellence (CoE), plant engineers, vendors, and contractors to set up support trails in industrial environments. Generate detailed reports and presentations summarizing research findings. Coordinate with various stakeholders for successful project execution.40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field and three (3) years of related work experience.Must have three (3) years of experience with/in:

Process operation or design of project in the food or chemical industry;

Three (3) or more unit operations, including filtering, distillation, evaporation, centrifugation, carbon treatment, ion exchange, chromatographic separation, solids handling, and/or varied chemical reactions;

Implementing new technologies into existing production facilities;

Analyzing and interpreting scientific data during design and evaluation of chemical processes; and

Preparing comprehensive reports and presentations for managers, engineers, and other business teams.
