We look forward to learning about you.Job DescriptionThe Terminal Manager manages all rail operations in the terminal and ensures that a high quality of safe, on-time service is mirrored throughout the staff. A successful candidate needs excellent customer service skills, leadership skills, communication skills, problem solving skills, and a proven ability to motivate his/her teams to high performance and a self-starter. We are looking for a strong team member who leads by example and brings an innovative mindset to enhance our Norfolk Southern family!Principal Duties:

Responsible for investigating accidents and injuries to determine cause and minimize future occurrences.

Often work with train dispatchers and customer ops group

Responsible for the on time inbound and departure of freight trains

Plans the operation of local trains to provide required service to customers and fulfill service requirements.

Requires a good working knowledge of safety and operating rules, train operations, FRA regulations, hazardous materials, labor agreements, crew call, and other applications.

Develops, motivates, and trains employees who work in the assigned territory.

Additional Requirements:

There is a lot of bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing on/near equipment

You will be standing and walking over uneven terrain

Successful completion of the conductor certification is required

You will be responsible for supervising Agreement (union) employees

Train rides

Rule incidents and injury investigations
