Job description
Responsibilities:
- Install solar panels on rooftops and other structures
- Ensure proper placement and alignment of solar panels for maximum efficiency
- Connect solar panels to electrical systems, following safety protocols and industry standards
- Install and connect wiring, inverters, and other electrical components
- Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper functioning
- Collaborate with team members to complete installations in a timely manner
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area
Experience:
- Previous experience in solar installation or related field preferred
- Knowledge of electrical systems and principles
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for installation purposes
- Familiarity with low voltage and high voltage systems
- Understanding of residential electrician practices and National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations
Skills:
- Strong electrical skills, including wiring, circuitry, and troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency in using power tools for construction purposes
- Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations related to solar installations
- Experience working on rooftops and performing tasks such as roof mounting and sealing
