Integrated Deicing Services (IDS) is hiring an Operations Supervisor for our Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) location.Employment Type: Full Time/Exempt | Hours: Must be able to work any & allAM/PM Shifts based on weather events and operation needs! | Salary: $62k - $65k based on experience The Inland Group of Companies is comprised of IDS, Inland Technologies, and Quantem Aviation Services. We offer a full range of airport and airline services, from aircraft deicing and spent ADF recovery to cargo and passenger handling. Our objective is to work continuously to develop services and programs that better meet our customers’ operational needs. POSITION OVERVIEW: IDS is currently looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to keep up our level of commitment to safety and operations. In this role, you will work directly with the station General Manager and Operations Manager to oversee daily de-icing operations, ensure the safety of the operation, manage training and coaching of employees, assist with station audits, and work closely with other team members to meet company goals. Manage all aspects of the daily operations as well as provide leadership and coaching to increase overall safety, performance, maintenance, flight operations, facility requirements, and customer service for the assigned deicing location

Assist the General Manager and/or Operations Manager with station audits.

Provide information needed for airline deicing reports, and handle all airline and FAA questions/concerns as required

Take proper measures to be sure that aircraft are deiced properly and airline manual requirements are met.

Communicate regularly on airline manual updates to provide information to employees and coordinate with the General Manager and/or Operations Manager on investigations of any security issues and accident reviews.

Be part of the review and recommendation process for safety measures taken to prevent further occurrences.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:

College Degree or combination of higher learning and related professional experience.

Must possess 5 years of Airport/Airline or similar industry operational experience with a background in safety and regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal rules and regulations.

Successful completion of all IDS classroom and OJT de-/anti-icing training.

Intermediate computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors, and/or customers and effectively handle conflict situations.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

HS Diploma or completion of GED and professional experience

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older

Must have a valid driver's license.

Successful completion of the required airport badging process and pre-employment drug screen is required.

Ability to speak English in a clear and concise manner to communicate with coworkers, supervisors, and vendors.
