Fiduciary Services Director (Hybrid)

Objective of Position :The Fiduciary Services Director is responsible for coordinating and managing the trust and fiduciary business of the bank. This role provides high quality sales and service to Wealth Management clients to deliver an exceptional client experience. This role will provide insight and direction to the Head of Wealth Management and identify opportunities to grow existing relationships and develop new business.Duties and Responsibilities :

Manages trust, agency, or probate accounts in the role of trustee. May act as the Relationship Manager to assigned clients and effectively interacts with others assigned to the client/relationship team.

Manages a book of select high-end client relationships.

Works collaboratively as part of the client/relationship management solution. Identifies and makes referrals to other business groups as appropriate.

Performs sales and service support activities as required to meet client needs and maintain overall service levels. Assist clients with adding products and services to fulfill their needs and meet their plan and fiduciary responsibilities.

Meets service standards to maximize relationship retention and growth. Develops rapport and instills confidence with the client to develop credibility and earn their trust.

Ensures the administration of trust accounts and serves as an in-house resource on all trust-related matters. Provides support to team members that includes financial reports, asset and account reconciliation, compliance, trade activity, posting, fee collection and other related activities; ensures proper documentation and administration decisions

Oversees the trust administration and compliance process, review trust documents, point out issues, provide guidance to client teams dealing with fiduciary matters.

Follows through on the risk and compliance processes and policies to ensure we safeguard our customers' assets, maintain their privacy, act in their best interests, and ensures an effectively run function. Protects the Bank's assets and complies with all regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements.

Makes presentations to clients/prospects in conjunction with others based upon their needs.

Makes recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives, based on an in-depth understanding of the business/group. Acts as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies.

Helps determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business/group strategy. Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues. Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders. Ensures alignment between stakeholders.

Acts as the prime subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholders. Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.

Manages and develops a team of trust officers and/or administrators, assigning and monitoring their workflow.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or related field.

CFA, CTFA or CFP designation, preferred.

10+ years related experience.

Foundational knowledge with all facets of fiduciary practices with superior knowledge of investments, trading, individual taxation, security analysis and portfolio structure.

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, strong client service orientation.

Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills.

Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Must be able to multi-task and handle large volumes of work, proven attention to accuracy and detail.

Strong experience leading, supervising, and motivating a team of investment professionals.

Strategic thinker and proficient in decision-making.

Accepts accountability and maintains work behaviors that contribute to the success of the investment team, Wealth Management and Byline Bank.

Thoughtful and strategic yet action oriented.

Innovative and able to adjust quickly to changing business landscapes.

Must display initiative and be self-motivated and adaptable.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office equipment.
