The PCA II maintains a current certification in patient care and is responsible to assist patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the RN as long as the activity does not distract from primary responsibility for dysrhythmia monitoring.QualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Current Certification in Patient Care required (M.A. / CNA / EMT / Paramedic / Patient Care Tech, etc.).

Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate upon hire and maintain current preferred.

Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Six months previous experience as Monitor Technician, preferred.

Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.

Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.

Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.

Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office, preferred.

Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below):

Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current per facility requirement.

  • Pet Care Assistant Summary of Job Purpose and Function The Pet Care Assistant works with the veterinary medical team to provide and prepare for the best medical care of pets, and to ensure this is provided in a happy, welcoming, friendly and efficient manner, influencing clients to return and refer their friends and families.
