We are conveniently located across from the Metra commuter rail, with access to an on-site gym, café and active employee resource groups.ITW is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to have overall responsibility for the Corporate Accounting team in the following areas:Monthly/quarterly reporting of Corporate P&L and Balance Sheet
Prepare assigned disclosures for 10Q and 10K filings
Manage requests from external and internal auditors
Develop annual plan for Corporate ledger
Serve as financial partner for Corporate functions
Responsibilities include:Lead/coordinate/review the month-end/year-end close process for the Corporate ledger in compliance with ITW Policy and GAAP
Supervise accounts payable process including weekly payment runs, 1099 reporting and unclaimed property filings
Manage ERP(Great Plains) and report writer(JetReports) including system updates, security management, G/L maintenance and year end close routines
Establish and maintain effective SOX internal controls over financial processes
Manage equity-related activity including stock compensation, preparation of 10K disclosures and basic/dilutive share calculations
Assist in preparation and review of quarterly reporting package for Corporate balance sheet including variance analysis
Leads assigned projects to implement best practices and increase efficiency of department procedures and processes
Participates in annual budget process including consolidation and analysis of Corporate departments
Ad-hoc analysis of department expenditures and results as requested
Supervise, lead and develop departmental staff of 3
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, CPA a plus
6+ years of experience in Corporate or public accounting required
Solid working knowledge of GAAP
High-level of computer proficiency; experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, Jet Reports and/or Oracle HFM a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication
Strong analytical skills and business/financial acumen
Attention to detail, with high standards of accuracy and review
Ability to execute projects efficiently and effectively with limited supervision
