Position: School Social Worker Location: Lemont, IL 60439 Program: Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program Daily hours: 8:05 AM - 3:35 PM AnthroMed Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to support a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program. This position will involve working with a diverse caseload of 27 students, aged 3-11, across three school buildings. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students who communicate both audibly and through sign language. Provide individual and group counseling services to students on your caseload.
Participate actively in PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) teams.
Utilize designated confidential spaces at each site for all social work sessions.
Work closely with a BCBA and a colleague who supports middle and high school students.
Engage in ongoing professional development, including learning sign language.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License
Experience or familiarity with working with Deaf and hard-of-hearing students is preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support a diverse student population.
Strong communication skills and willingness to learn sign language and take classes.
IDFPR License
