The Marketing Excellence Manager has primary responsibility to partner with Marketing Managers and Leaders across AbbVie’s portfolio of businesses to help diagnose needs and develop solutions that support skill development across marketing competencies to create a world class marketing organization.The position will rely on the ability to create, lead and work within cross-functional teams made of participants from U.S. Commercial Analytics & Operations, including Commercial Excellence, Marketing Analytics & Business Insights, Customer Experience, In-Field Team Effectiveness, Patient Services; U.S. Commercial Marketing, Market Access Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Legal, Office of Ethics & Compliance, HEOR, Agency Relations, Business HR, and other internal/external partners. Must be adept at cross-functional collaboration with ability to effectively communicate with all levels. Responsibilities

Works collaboratively across franchises to gain stakeholder input, align to the business strategies and deliver programs to elevate the effectiveness of US Commercial Marketers.

Thinks strategically with the business planning skills necessary to diagnose needs, develop, direct, and influence commercial training and development strategies.

Demonstrates exceptional stakeholder communication skills to develop partnerships across all areas and levels of the organization.

Leads pipeline of inventive, enduring and innovative training experiences and approaches to skill development and knowledge acquisition.

Leads marketing onboarding initiatives, requiring detailed project planning, effective relationship building with leaders across the organization, content co-creation with subject matter experts, program execution with facilitation of training sessions, and program modifications based on evaluations/program feedback.

Continually look to evolve and elevate Marketing Excellence within the organization by integrating marketing and training development industry leading best practices, key business trends, brand strategies, and marketplace drivers into Marketing Excellence skills development plans that drive competitive advantage to the organization.

Project management experience, managing cross-functional teams and/or external partners through large projects or initiatives.

Provides digital consultation to MEx team to deliver innovative, engaging digital learning, content strategies and produce or manage multi-media virtual events and digital deliverables US Commercial Training Marketing Teams. 

Performs needs analysis and training assessment to determine the optimal digital training strategies and solutions.

Creates learning objectives, post-training evaluations and leverages analytics to measure learning effectiveness.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in marketing or communications

7+ years marketing / digital marketing or similar experience required; specific experience in omnichannel marketing, sales, and/or commercial training preferred

3+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience preferred

Comprehensive understanding and practical application of instructional design methodologies and various computer programs including, but not limited to: Adobe Creative Suite, Power BI & FORMS, streaming platforms, network diagnosis and complex to simple media development software

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.​
