Description:

• Looking for strong senior backend Scala/Java developer preferably with AWS Cloud experience
• A coding exercise is required as part of the interview process.
• Travel to ISG in Urbandale Iowa anticipated up to 2 times per a year. No driving anticipated. Contingent will more than likely ride along with a full-time Deere employee in a company car.

• Working within an agile team, develop scalable backend software, using TDD.
• Develop Scala/Java applications running in an AWS environment.

• 5+ years hands-on experience with Scala
• Profound insight of Scala/Java Internals (Class loading, Memory Management, Concurrency, Futures, Multithreading.)
• Building low-latency & high volume, distributed, scalable and reliable backend systems
• RESTFul APIs

• AWS
• Spring
• Akka Actor system
• Frontend experience a plus
