The A ccounts Receivable Analyst is responsible for analyzing aged receivables, resolving billing inquiries and contacting customers to obtain payments. The ideal applicant should have strong problem-solving capabilities as well as a positive attitude. They will also assist with other accounting-related projects on an as-needed basis.Responsibilities:

Create and maintain report documentation and procedures

Analyze reporting to ensure accuracy and data integrity – work with sales team to ensure pricing and customer data is correct

Collaborate with cash application team for root cause analysis and issue resolution on all short payments and overpayments

Prepares management reports of AR progress trends and delinquent accounts

Analyze trends in bad debt and recommends improvements to AR policies and procedures

Work with internal and external customers to research and resolve customer disputes

Transmit invoices to customers through electronic portals

Maintain shared email distribution list for invoice rejections

Financial security by adhering to internal controls

Maintains financial historical records by filing documents

AR Analyst should have a basic understanding of JD Edwards invoice process (order entry, pricing/item/address setup)

Support of cash application and billing activities as needed

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or related field of study

Experience working with accounts receivable and payable in a decision-making position for 3-5 years.

Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task while respecting deadlines

Advanced knowledge of excel; pivot tables, VLOOKUP and other formulas

Experience preparing and summarizing data analysis for both internal and external customers

Ability to work independently, creatively, and efficiently with minimal direction in an unstructured environment

Strong oral and written communication skills

Inquisitiveness and an eye for detail

Process improvement mindset
