Join us.Job Summary:The CTCT division (a joint venture between Trimble and Caterpillar) exists to Transform the way heavy equipment customers shape a better world by building the right product, for the right customer, for the right segment, at the right price; transforming customer productivity by showcasing the power of the platform engine through radically simple applications; and extending the ability of our parents to innovate with the application and on the platform.Our customers are earthmoving, paving and compaction machine operators and owners in the construction, mining and landfill industries. Technologies such as GNSS, optical total stations, lasers and sonics position the machine on the jobsite in a range of applications where the operator of the machine benefits from having accurate horizontal and vertical guidance, along with site awareness. Rich data collected on the machine and sent back via the internet, enables site management decisions to optimize outcomes across the full site and fleet.You will be a key member of an empowered and accountable Product Team that has true ownership of their product; sellable, installable and supportable kits that enable CTCT applications to be applied on various makes and models of machine types so that they are “Grade Ready” increasing market penetration and system sales revenue.As the Product Manager for the Installation Solutions team and through your accountability for business viability and customer value along with responsibility for managing kits and installation parts through the entire product lifecycle - NPI, Quality, Continuity of Supply, Iteration and Deprecation, you will play an important role in enabling CTCT to deliver the product objective of delivering the best dealer technician installation and commissioning experience in the machine control industry, across the most valuable portfolio of tiered products that delight machine control customers.What You Will Do:Build The Right Thing: Managing Customer Value and Business Viability Product Risks

A measurable shift in customer purchasing behavior towards choosing Trimble machine control by delivering sellable, installable and supportable kits that render a wide range of machine types, makes, and models 'Trimble Ready' thereby enhancing market penetration and boosting system sales revenue.

Decisions about what to do are justified with business case analysis balancing product, usability and engineering feasibility risks in collaboration with Design and Technical Leads

Skilled with various data sets and tools, the Product Manager is a company acknowledged expert on their product’s target users / customers and how their product is used and actually works

Get Work Done: Deliver the Context to the Makers in the Product Team(conversations, market view, priorities, problem statements, roadmaps, epics, user stories, backlogs, personas…)

The product team:

Understands the why

Understands the Product Plan across the four commercial budget categories, revenue drivers, unplanned deal driven, quality, validation

Has a prioritized backlog to deliver on the product plan

Has the context they require to deliver the product bits to form the product

Product Waste is minimized

The Product Manager is an available resource for the team to answer questions, clarify goals , enabling and empowering the team to own the details

Get Work Done: Accept Product Bits

The Product Manager is an available resource for the team to:

create and review acceptance criteria

Review and provide feedback on regular demos

Provide connection and operational support between the Product manager and the team in support of achieving products outcomes across the now, next and later horizons

Delivering Stakeholder Needs:

Approve pricing for installation parts and kits

Prioritize customer requirements, identify and communicate with stakeholders, coordinate supplier inputs, identify dependencies, and prioritize the deliverables to meet the needs for Installation Solutions of multiple internal and external customer

Coordinate release dates with Machine Integration Teams so all aspects of an application request (Software, MDF, Installation instructions, documentation, Kits) are delivered

Lead the development of a strategy for and execution of the roadmap for installation instructions and documentation for Dealer Technicians

Serve the Organization:

Act as a servant leader and effect change through influence and inspiration

Collaborate with other Product Leads, Product Managers, Project Managers, Verification and Validation, Customer Experience and Technical Leads, to plan and execute work and resolve blockers

Perform additional tasks as required from time to time.

Constantly work to improve and develop both Product Leadership and people skills

Other Responsibilities: Develop project scope to address business challenges and opportunities. Coordinating resources across the businesses with sales and marketing, product development groups, value chain and manufacturing. Overseeing project progress and costs; communicating status with stakeholders and participating functional areas; addressing and resolving problems. Directing project staffing; motivating and developing project team and team members. Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.Education Requirement:Experience you will bring:

3 years+ experience in a Product Management or Ownership role

Product Management knowledge from Strategy to Execution

Working closely with design and engineering teams

Proven experience leading teams shipping physical products

Experience with a global product and teams

Experience translating big strategic priorities into roadmap items

Understanding customer needs and collaborating to find and propose the right solutions to meet those needs

Providing coaching and training

Agile design and development practices, techniques and methods for the creation and manufacture of parts

Experience in or with relevant industries (civil construction, resources, communications, tech)
