Description Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant for a client located in western suburbs. As a Senior Accountant, your role will involve managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in records, and providing analytical support to the finance team.Responsibilities: Accurately process and review monthly journal entries Conduct comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations to confirm account accuracy Collaborate with various departments to accumulate supporting documentation for financial operations Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Evaluate financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that need to be reported to the manager Uphold internal financial controls and procedures Assist in formulating budgets and forecasts, providing analytical backing to the finance team Cater to external audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility Take the lead or participate in special projects to enhance process efficiency and performance as directed by management Analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections with precision and attention to detail Work efficiently under tight deadlines and contribute to the team's ability to meet reporting and closing timelines.This position offers a salary range of $100,000-$120,000 and a 10% bonus potential and comes with the following benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Short Term Disability, Voluntary benefits such as accidental and hospital insurance, 401k plan with a 4% match, vacation 15 paid days annually, prorated on the first year and 8 holidays.If interested, please contact Brian Keating at 331-264-5688.Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA or CPA Seeking highly preferred
Prior public accounting experience preferred
Applicant must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a related accounting role.
Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is essential.
Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required.
Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations is a must.
Competence in General Ledger management is necessary.
Ability to handle Journal Entries is expected.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are indispensable.
Experience in Month End Close procedures is crucial.
