Description:Structural analysis (static or response spectra) seismic and other load combinations per plant criteriaEquipment and piping supportsBuilding structural framesFoundations,Piping or Pipe support analysis per ASME Section III or B31.1 designLifting assembly, rigging or crane designsAISC steel and ACI concrete design codesComponent stress analysis (GTSTRUDL or ANSYS)Plant impact reviews and evaluationsAssessment of existing structures, development of retrofit type designsWork includes conceptual studies, cost and planning studies, design calculations, specification development, and seismic analysis.Individual will be technically involved in detailed design work, coordination of civil and non-civil designs on multi-discipline projects, coordination with utilities and municipalities, as well as resolution of design issues that may include site support to perform field investigations, installation support, and as-built documentation.Will work on multiple projects and have the ability to bounce from one project to anotherPerforms about 75% of their work on Steel and the other 25% is working on analysis and design for ConcreteSkills:structural, structural analysis, structural steel, aisc, aci, mathcadAdditional Skills & Qualifications:BS degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering from a US-credited collegePrior experience with: static structural analyses, structural dynamics, AISC, ACI classes, seismic analysis. Preferably proficient in MathCADGood communication skillsReport writing, calculations, drawings, specifications3 years experience minimum, ideally 5+ years working on design and analysis for Nuclear Power Plants, Industrial Facilities, or relevant project types within Steel and/or ConcreteProject Experience will be within Steel (ideal) and/or Concrete (secondary)Must have experience and knowledge working with Design Codes - AISC, ACI, ASCEMust have previous experience with Finite Element Analysis software and/or analysis techniquesKinectrics performs about 75% of their work on Steel and the other 25% is working on analysis and design for ConcreteExperience Level:Intermediate LevelAbout Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
