A primary responsibility of the successful candidate will be to perform assays determining cytokine/chemokine levels, gene expression changes, and cell surface protein marker levels from preclinical studies from mammalian cells and human tissue samples.
Expertise in mammalian cell culture, ELISA/MSD assays, mRNA isolation and qPCR, flow cytometry and analysis of protein expression by Western Blot are key responsibilities for this position. Familiarity with GraphPad Prism a plus.
Develop and optimize new methods/techniques to generate reliable and reproducible data in a timely manner. Strong problem solving skills are required.
Working closely with their supervisor this scientist will schedule and prioritize workload to manage several tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills and ability to present data clearly and thoroughly using written (PowerPoint, Word) and verbal approaches.
The candidate must be willing to work as part of a multidisciplinary research team in an exciting, fast-paced environment under the mentorship of a supervisor.
qualifications:
BS +3 years of experience, MS +0 years of experience required to ensure that incumbent has necessary theoretical and practical knowledge to do the job.
BS or MS in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Immunology, or a related field.
Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in mammalian cell culture and molecular biology.
Highly developed communication skills and keen ability to engage internal and external team members in collaborative research.
