Description We are recruiting a Paralegal to join our team based in OAK BROOK, Illinois. This role provides an opportunity to work within the legal industry, offering extensive trial support to a team of attorneys. This role is particularly suited to individuals who can adapt to a flexible work schedule, with responsibilities that may vary from day to day. Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and presentation of cases for trial, ensuring all materials are tracked and organized efficiently. Conduct extensive legal research and fact-checking, contributing to thorough case analysis. Review and index all legal documents and case files, maintaining an organized system. Summarize data, evidence, and other relevant materials to be used as evidence in trials. Draft legal documents including pleadings, deposition notices, and subpoenas. Interview clients and witnesses to gather vital case information. Coordinate and attend depositions, hearings, trials, and other proceedings. Manage trial logistics, ensuring all aspects are set up and managed effectively. Maintain communication with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel throughout the trial process. Assist in post-verdict follow-up tasks, including managing appeals and paperwork. Requirements Hold a bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or a related field Possess strong knowledge of Personal Injury Law and Personal Injury Defense Have prior experience in trial preparation and trial participation Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills Be proficient in legal research and documentation Have excellent written and verbal communication skills Show ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases Be detail-oriented and able to work under pressure Have proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite Demonstrate ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Possess strong interpersonal skills to interact with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
