Description We are in search of a Payroll Specialist to join our team in OAK BROOK, Illinois. This role will primarily focus on managing payroll processes for a large number of mechanics, collaborating closely with the compliance team, and dealing with various accounting and payroll tasks. This is a contract to permanent employment opportunity in the aviation industry.Responsibilities: Manage the weekly payroll process for a significant number of mechanics, ensuring its accuracy and timeliness Work with ADP in a manual payroll setting, requiring proficiency with Accounting Software Systems Handle timesheets submitted via email, collaborating with employees and managers to address any discrepancies Oversee travel expense reimbursements for traveling mechanics Manage onboarding and termination processes as mechanics shift between contracts Collaborate closely with the compliance team to meet FAA, drug, and alcohol standards Address follow-up actions, such as unemployment claims and bonus adjustments on a weekly basis Utilize strong communication and meticulous organizational skills to thrive under tight deadlines Gain experience with ADP Workforce Now, 401k - RRSP Administration, Accounting Functions, Auditing, Benefit Functions, Benefits Payroll, bi-Monthly Payroll, Department Expense, Accrued Expenses.
