System Administrator

Description The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the company's IT infrastructure. This includes servers, networks, hardware, and software systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a proactive approach to solving problems, and a commitment to ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems.Key Responsibilities:

Manage and Maintain Systems: Administer, monitor, and maintain servers, workstations, and network infrastructure to ensure uptime, security, and performance.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.

System Upgrades and Patching: Implement system updates, security patches, and other necessary upgrades to keep the IT environment secure and optimized.

Backup and Recovery: Manage regular backups, disaster recovery, and restore procedures to prevent data loss.

Network Configuration: Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN solutions.

Security: Ensure system security by configuring firewalls, antivirus, and other security tools, and monitor for security breaches.

User Support: Provide support for end users by troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.

Documentation: Maintain documentation for IT systems, configurations, and procedures.

Collaboration: Work closely with other IT staff and departments to ensure seamless operations and project implementations.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience: 3+ years of experience in systems administration or a related IT role.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows, macOS).

Experience with server administration (Windows Server, Linux-based servers, etc.).

Networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).

Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).

Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).

Experience with system monitoring tools (Nagios, SolarWinds, etc.).
