Description Are you currently looking for a new position? A company in the Non-Profit industry has partnered with Robert Half to find an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. The Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk role offers an exciting opportunity to make an indispensable contribution to the success of a company in the Non-Profit industry. Located in Oak Forest, Illinois, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary opening. In this influential department, there is a possibility for further career growth and advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk position will require to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.Major responsibilitiesComplete special projects on an as-needed basis
Provide support during internal and external audits
Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time
Fullfill full-cycle A/P
Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks
Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners
Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling Requirements - Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation experience
General ledger experience
Journal entries experience preferred
Analyze Financial Statements experience preferred
Budgeting experience
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
