Description Robert Half is searching for a talented Accounting Clerk for an admired organization. In this position as an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire employment opportunity based in the Orangeville, Illinois area.What you get to do every single day
Compose statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
Broadcast financial information to journals and ledgers
Remedy discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
Arrange documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Assist Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
Collaborate with Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance Requirements - Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
Accurate, swift, data entry abilities
Accounting Entries experience desired
Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Deep understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
