Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in the Food & Food Processing industry, located in PARK RIDGE, Illinois, 60068-5743, United States. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be handling various accounting functions and utilizing Microsoft Excel in your daily tasks. Responsibilities: Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable operations Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications Maintain and update customer credit records accurately Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions as required Resolve customer inquiries related to accounting matters Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to accounting standards Assist in the preparation of financial reports as needed Ensure all accounting activities comply with financial regulations and standards. Requirements Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role. Proficiency in handling accounts payable and accounts receivable. Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel. Must have an understanding of general accounting principles and financial statements. Demonstrated ability to perform accurate data entry and manage large volumes of financial data. Experience in the food & food processing industry will be an advantage. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred. Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information. Willingness to continue detail oriented development and stay updated with accounting trends and changes.
