Candidate Responsibilities This position is intended to assist the existing DBAs with reviewing queries and tuning them for the best performance. They will be responsible for writing SQL and Stored Procedures as well as making recommendations on how to improve our data designs. They will also be responsible for write custom analyzers within Lucene Search. Typical Day
Working in an Agile team environment
Attending daily scrum meetings
60-80% of time spent developing and tuning queries.
Reviewing queries from other team members
Improving search experience
Remote work potential for duration. Ideally candidate would sit on-site when office reopens.
Education Requirement Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Technical Skills Required
Strong SQL Server knowledge (preferably Azure SQL) and with SQL Stored Procedures and Azure Data Services
Ability to help with performance tuning of the SPROCs as well as the tables involved.
Lucene Search Syntax experience and the ability to write a custom analyzer.
