Join us.DescriptionCaterpillar’s Strategic Procurement & Planning Division (SPPD) is seeking a Program Manager to support the Product Source Planning (PSP) department through designing, implementing, and maintaining complex organizational programs in support of corporate strategy. This highly motived individual contributor will advise and provide support to the Senior Sourcing Project managers related to various initiatives including manufacturing footprint analysis and End to End product flow visualization.Job Duties

Organize and coordinate processes and procedures for all project teams to follow within the program.

Serving as a liaison and building bridges among project teams within the program. Translating corporate objectives into program objectives and practices.

Planning and monitoring program development to ensure that quality standards and goals are achieved.

Managing all aspects of an organizational program to ensure projects within the program are implemented, accepted, and accomplished within a set deadline.

Support machine and internally produced component product flows through detailed understanding and visualization of capacity, sourcing, and end-user product consumption coupled with OPACC maximization and any supply resiliency risks. To the degree possible and practical, compare this to competition to establish the competitiveness of the product flow.

Support engines and purchased finished component product flows like machine and internally produced components above.

Support Tri-Sphere analysis which will provide detailed understanding and visualization of manufacturing attractiveness and competitive advantage by global tri-sphere. This would incorporate both inside and outside economic and manufacturing drivers such as regulations, workforce, and supplier concentration.

Skill DescriptorsData Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.Level Extensive Experience: Advises on advanced data gathering and analysis methodologies and technologies. Oversees data gathering and analysis activities within the organization. Documents sources and validates the accuracy of data analysis by evaluating the pros and cons of data analysis methods used. Implements procedures and policies within a data processing function. Teaches others how to improve the validity and reliability of data used in various analyses. Evaluates best practices of data gathering and analysis within the industry.Alignment: Knowledge of the importance of collaboration among team members and the ability to enroll stakeholders in communicating and coordinating activities to support the organization's vision and strategies.Level Extensive Experience: Involves team in discussions focused on clarifying and improving broad commitment. Interprets the organization's vision for external stakeholders. Establishes clear expectations and accountabilities linked to the vision. Develops methods for effectively and consistently communicating strategy and operational goals. Helps managers tailor approaches for mobilizing their team around the strategy. Refines operational priorities over time to preserve alignment with vision.Basic Qualifications

Education / Experience: This position typically requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related field and 10+ years of job-related experience.

Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tool, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company’s business.

Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.

Alignment: Knowledge of the importance of collaboration among team members and the ability to enroll stakeholders in communicating and coordinating activities to support the organization’s vision and strategies.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tool, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Leadership: Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing, and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.

Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities; making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
