This role will support the Current Product and New Product Activities by working through the 4 P’s of marketing: Product, Pricing, Place and Promotion. This role is highly collaborative, working alongside the industry team, machine product groups, internal and external partners to achieve the business plan, develop new solutions and improve efficiency in key business measurables. Primary responsibilities include demonstration and instruction of machines.What You Will Do:
Conduct product training
Conduct customer demonstrations to support experiencing the value story of Cat machines
Create marketing messages
Conduct competitive analysis
Consult with product groups, districts, and dealers to develop and implement customer solutions
Act as a product and commercial support resource
Represent BCP on sales issues relating to the SSL|CTL markets
Support sales efforts initiated by districts as well as having input on overall sales support programs
What You Have:Customer Focus: A key component to the position is gathering Voice of Customer (VOC), Voice of Dealer (VOD) and Voice of Industry (VOI) to provide training, messaging through videos, publications, our digital platforms to increase awareness, traffic, leads, and future product development.Technical Excellence: The role will be expected to analyze problems and opportunities, present results, proactively share and execute ideas towards implementing solutions. A successful candidate must be comfortable and adept at using Microsoft Office Products - Advanced proficiency using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.Products and Services: Knowledge of major products and services related to machine performance and experience matching machines to customer needs. Ability to present reasons to choose Caterpillar machines, attachments and aftermarket solutions. Incumbent is able to analyze, explain and report out on current statuses, delivery deadlines and keep all stakeholders up to date on announced updates to products and services.Effective Communication: Must communicate effectively across product, industry, dealer and/or customer audiences to gain understanding and acceptance of ideas and recommendations and develop a collaborative work relationship with others inside and outside the business unit.Top candidates will bring:
Construction, landscaping or relevant machine operation experience to support customer demonstrations, product training, and production studies.
Commercial Drivers License (CDL) for transportation of machines and supporting regional on-site demonstration highly desired.
Strong customer focus and adaptability.
Organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Prior experience within the construction industry or construction technologies.
Prior dealer or customer facing experience
Ability to work independently for project development, project execution and problem solving.

Location: Sanford, NC or Peoria, IL
Travel exception: The scope of this job is regional for sales support function, global for go to market content, and global for commercial product strategy. Travel is expected between 35 - 50% with support of dealer training, trade shows, productivity studies, dealer meetings, and customer opportunities.
Domestic relocation is available to those who qualify.
