Join us.It’s More Than a Job, it’s a Career - YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wf0PVJdUOWo)Why you want the job and why it’s awesome!As a Product Support Manager, you will lead the Resources Industries (RI) Customer Value Agreements (CVA) team within the Mining Center of Excellence focused on strategy development and execution, the creation of flexible CVA frameworks for dealers, and nurturing best practices globally to support the RI Services Growth and Percentage of Industry Sales (PINS) Growth goals. The purpose of the role is to provide global leadership for increasing customer value and by investing in the right people, culture, and processes for the services business. Positions reporting directly or indirectly to this position include: Business Consultants, Service Representatives, Applications Specialists, and Service Consultants.What you and your team will do:

Create, develop, and implement new dealer growth services strategies, business models, solution frameworks, and associated value stories that drive dealer execution and result in the expansion of the dealer services portfolio with the appropriate risk/reward structures for Caterpillar and the dealers. The market demand for “increased customer value” through services has become a paramount strategy for Dealer effectiveness in the aftermarket product support business.

Act as an executive consultant to Cat and dealer leadership advising on strategic direction for key growth activities consulting with dealers and regions on parts sales and service support requirements for targeted opportunities.

Engage with internal partners and dealers to ensure that processes, programs, and tools are developed, understood, and agreed to for the effective implementation and execution of CVAs.

Determine CVA-related Key Performance Indicators, set annual targets (internal and with dealers), and manage annual delivery of the KPIs.

In this role you will be expected to:

Understand and remain current on the customer/dealer marketplace, apply product and industry knowledge in support of Caterpillar, dealer, and customer expectations, and lead strategic planning for short, medium, and long-term change.

Interact with high-level professionals (internal and external) and exhibit effective relationship-building and communication skills.

Understand complex commercial issues, which can affect the business, such as local political situations, and business and economic conditions, and relate this back to the appropriate areas of Caterpillar for action.

Influence upper management within Caterpillar to adapt or change policies, implement marketing/sales programs, hire personnel and organizational structure changes

Call on leaders in major engagements with upper dealer management to influence the business climate.

Integrate diverse functions and independently manage day-to-day interactional activities within set parameters.

Research (global customer/market studies, benchmarking) and analyze components fully to make complex decisions.

As the Leader of the CVA Team, you will:

Demonstrate skills in the following leadership principles: business, career development, coaching, communication, customer satisfaction, empowerment, and fostering an enjoyable work climate.

Manage a work unit of primarily management/professional employees where monitoring and reviewing the work of subordinates is required as well as training, developing, and mentoring.

Be responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluation of subordinates.

Be free to determine the best way to complete job assignments in order to achieve desired results and have the freedom to act with budgeted transactional dollar amounts.

Degree and Experience Requirement:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.7 plus years of related experience including field, staff, support, and supervisory assignments.Additional information:The location for this position is Peoria, IL, or Tucson, AZ.Relocation assistance is available for this position.This position will require approximately 25% travel (domestic and global).
