The successful candidate will collaborate extensively with the Mining Marketing Content and Customer Events teams, as well as other internal stakeholders, to implement and execute a comprehensive digital marketing and communications plan for mining.What you will do:This role has a worldwide impact and is responsible for the following:

Develop, implement, and oversee omnichannel marketing and communications strategy, media and communication plans, timelines, and budgets to deliver on the vision and business strategy.

Create, lead, and manage marketing campaigns from planning to analysis. This includes defining tactical initiatives and execution channels and continuously optimizing them to maximize performance.

Work with various internal and external teams to educate them on Mining's digital goals and strategy and ensure that each team is aware, able, and ready to deliver its part of the experience.

Partner with diverse teams across the enterprise, developing and leveraging strong networks across organizational boundaries and ensuring Mining is aligned with the existing enterprise digital strategies.

Conduct market/competitive research to identify new opportunities and build effective customer strategies.

Establish metrics to monitor and review the effectiveness of existing marketing strategies, suggesting necessary interventions for improvement.

Maintaining effective internal communications in the marketing department to discuss and align the marketing strategy.

Develop presentations and present projects and strategies to leadership.

Maintain and audit Caterpillar Mining’s digital channels.

What skills you will have:Customer Focus: Extensive knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and the ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.Collaborating: Extensive knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.Creativity: Extensive knowledge of the approaches, tools, and techniques for promoting creative, original thinking and the ability to apply it to a variety of business situations. Demonstrated proficiency in building and executing B2B multi-channel marketing campaigns and/or programs.Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Marketing communications experience focused on customer communications and digital marketing.Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers. Self-starter and energetic team player.Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization. Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.Vendor/Supplier Management: Knowledge of external provider management processes and ability to effectively manage the business relationship with external providers (e.g. vendors, service providers, contractors, consultants, and suppliers).Promotion and Marketing Communications: Knowledge of different promotional and marketing communication techniques; ability to use different marketing channels and tools in combination to focus on how a business communicates a message to the market.
