This role will focus on establishing a robust World-Wide Product planning process for all segments in GE HealthCare; guide product and functional teams through this process; ensure timely creation of robust product and technology roadmaps; and build the supporting efforts to drive the technology readiness for these product roadmaps.GE HealthCare is a leading global medical technology and digital solutions innovator. Define what good looks like : Partner with Strategy, Lean & Transformation leader and Finance to define the specific objectives, content, outputs, and timeline for World-Wide Product Planning (WWPP).

Partner for success: Work with product segments and digital, guiding them through the preparation for WWPP; helping to organize and lead the appropriate working sessions; and driving follow-up actions defined during WWPP.

Build the roadmap:

Ensure the technology plan is well represented and interlocked with the WWPP, across the three-time horizons

Help create any necessary tools and working sessions to prepare technology and product roadmaps. Incorporate strategic priorities for GE HealthCare in the priorities for WWPP, such as precision care; revenue growth and margin expansion for equipment, services and subscription; quality and safety improvements; operational efficiency; and sustainability.

Engage with Care Area leaders, digital and product segments to drive care area priorities into product and technology roadmaps.

Lead the Technology organization in defining the research and development roadmaps needed to achieve the product roadmaps.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline

10 years progressive experience in product management, program management, and/or engineering management.

Proven track record leading cross-functional groups in projects and/or operating mechanism to achieve business, goals and priorities, and experience leading teams in defining process flow and inputs & outputs

Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and manage conflicting priorities in a fast paced environment. must be responsive and willing to take ownership of issues and drive solutions

Proven communication, coaching and interpersonal skills, at all levels of the organization; organized and methodical; able to energize and inspire

High interest in portfolio management, product roadmaps, and investment prioritization

Has a Lean mindset for efficient process definition, and knowledgeable in Lean fundamentals and/or Six Sigma

Desired Characteristics

Strong record of leading teams in complex projects and process definition

Experience in developing and launching medical device products

Drives for aggressive goals with a strong sense of urgency, even under tough circumstances, holding the organization to high standards

Leverages technical depth to get hands on and go two to three levels deep to learn how the work is done at the point of impact

Strategic planner and thinker with ability to drive change in a complex, multi-segment environment; demonstrated competency in providing leadership and direction in product and technology development

Has the ability to see the bigger picture of portfolio management and prioritization, but also can focus on the details necessary to build a working process

Experience with multi-generation planning of product and/or technology, including product life cycle experience

Excellence in program management, organizational design, execution planning and control competency

Knowledge of clinical applications and workflow in some segment of health care diagnostics and/or therapies

Previous experience in regulated medical device company

Six sigma/ 5S / Lean trained

Masters or other advanced degree in a relevant discipline

Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.

It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
