Develop, recommend, and support strategic policies and programs for corporate meetings and events (internal and external). Proactively monitor and analyze Meeting activity, manages relationships with all Meeting business partners (internal and external), while providing superior service across all levels of the organization.

Develops and manages short-term and long-term program strategies that align with DFS goals for operational excellence, mitigating risks and meeting financial expectations.

Identifies areas of opportunity within the Meeting category, identifying new vendors and/or services in the marketplace, and partner with Global Procurement & Sourcing to perform sourcing activities to maximize savings while implementing and improving quality programs.

Manages Meeting & Events queue within ServiceNow & ZIP tools to support business partners through contract execution. Assisting business partners to get their contracts through execution. Responsible for Meetings & events DLife page, including content and documentation.

Manages our Preferred Hotel Program along with annual RFP, onsite visits and scorecard.

Assists business units with finding external space for meetings within our preferred hotel model. Provides RFP services to business looking for external hotel meeting space.

Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

How You’ll Do It

Manages program vendor relationships, vendor solutions and tools. Utilizes internal and external reporting/analytics to benchmark the cost and quality of goods and services being delivered, ensuring they are meeting service, financial and overall vendor compliance expectations (tracking SLA’s, KPI’s, etc.), including facilitation of vendor QBR’s. Establishes and participates in regular performance reviews and issue resolution meetings with vendors. Develops and maintains relationships with internal clients including C-suite executives.

Manages ZIP queue for meetings and events space.

Manages meeting program for external business space and dedicated hotel room blocks for internal and external events.

Develops and defines requirements for meeting sourcing projects such as hotel and event technology companies. Take a consultative approach with Global Procurement & Sourcing, as the category and program expert to develop and recommend the most appropriate and efficient sourcing strategy for each opportunity led by GPS. Assist to execute RFPs, analyze results, establish leverage strategies, and assess award scenarios optimizing total cost of ownership and at the highest quality.

Leverages data driven analytics to recommend and implement changes to Policies. Ensure compliance with policy requirements across the enterprise. Develop and deliver training and communications to improve compliance and increase transparency into requirements.

Initiate strategy for and research, develop and author communications to be used to communicate with the campus population via DLife, Meeting Website, newsletters, or conference calls.

Qualifications You’ll NeedThe Basics

H.S. Diploma or GED

6+ years of experience in Strategic Meetings Management, Customer Service, or related field

In lieu of education, 8+ years of experience in Strategic Meetings Management, Customer Service, or related field

Bonus Points If You Have

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or related field
