Job Responsibilities
Perform basic fit-up operations in preparation for welding, generally on high-turn stock and standard products
Use fixtures when available and appropriate.
Provide set-up for welding operations.
Perform MIG welding on products with medium complexity of moving parts and medium tolerances.
Regularly weld plate thicknesses up to 3/8" and occasionally up to 1/2".
Ensure welds are free from defect and meet blueprint and traveler specifications.
Work Environment2nd Shift Position: 2:00pm - 12:30am + OT on Friday or longer days. This is a manufacturing shop with CNC machines, welders, grinders. There is also an assembly department and a shipping department.
