This Co-Op will also help d esign and review layouts of components, calculate stack-up of detail components, and perform cost studies consisting of new details and/or marked prints and all supporting documentation, when necessary, to facilitate operations and ensure that established objectives and budgets are achieved. Co-op will assist in components or portions of functional systems with assistance of experienced contributors and brainstorming technically advanced prototypes using computer design and engineering systems. Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January-August 2025 (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity. What You Will Do:

Communicates with the other engineering personnel to coordinate the interrelated design and ensure project completion.

Designs and reviews layouts of components and calculates stack-up of detail components to facilitate operations and ensure that established objectives are achieved.

Resolves design problems to ensure project completion. Engage with manufacturing and engineering counterparts to collaborate on production problem solving opportunities.

Designs new products and processes, and improves and maintains existing products to help create better products or processes and ensure that the current and future needs of the business are met.

Individual contributor to solving problems and building engineering capabilities.

Follows common procedures and standard work across the organization to optimize efficiency and quality.

Designs components or portions of functional systems with assistance of experienced contributors and brainstorming technically advanced prototypes using computer design and engineering systems.

Develops or improves products and facilitates manufacturing operations.

Investigates pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replace ability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specification requirements and cost.

Designs, develops and tests metallic or non-metallic structures or materials and their related fabrication processes for use in engineering designs.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
