Rehabilitation Coach Full Time
Summary
Ensure that all work performed as a result of training opportunities is completed accurately and within time line expectations; provide vocational skills training and work performance supports to persons with disabilities. Work collaboratively with the individual and the Rehabilitation Team to identify the persons abilities, needs, preferences, desired outcomes, and other identified needs for developing and implementing individualized person centered plans. Rehabilitation interventions include facilitating the acquisition and utilization of employment skills and habits necessary for individuals to attain overall vocational rehabilitation goals and outcomes as a result of his/her involvement in remunerative training opportunities provided through Bridgeway. Assist the Production Team with the completion of documentation related to consumer trainee attendance, productivity, inventory, and ordering supplies, completing time studies and other forms of performance measurement.
Requirements
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, have good social and assessment skills, have the ability to work independently and interact professionally within the public domain. Must be able to negotiate and problem solve with stakeholders. Must have a commitment to work with persons with disabilities and demonstrate a belief in the principles of recovery and empowerment for persons with disabilities; willingness to work flexible hours and must possess basic computer navigation and word processing skills; must have the ability to operate small machinery and drive a fork lift.
Education/Experience
High school diploma or GED required. Prefer experience working with persons with disabilities. Must be 21 years of age or older. Candidates need to be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
