Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Internal Job DescriptionThe Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Global Supply Chain organization is seeking a knowledgeable Supply Chain Professional to join our Subcontracts Administration team. The primary responsibilities for the successful candidate will be to serve as one of a small group of Subject Matter Experts who interpret, develop, and refine procedures, work instructions, and forms; provide advice and counsel regarding the interpretation and application of company command media and regulatory requirements; and promote awareness and understanding of fundamental concepts and best practices to facilitate organizational compliance and audit readiness.We are looking for you to join our team as a Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist based out of Rolling Meadows, IL. This is a hybrid role 3 days on-site.Specific roles and responsibilities include, but not limited to:Interfacing and corresponding with suppliers
Developing sourcing/evaluation strategies
Supplier identification
Source selection
Coordinating export control/security requirements
Preparing and issuing RFPs with appropriate customer flow downs and terms & conditions
Evaluation of customer RFP's
In conjunction with the program management teams, develops subcontract RFP's that include Statements of Work, Technical/Quality Specifications, Deliverable Requirements List and Schedules, Performance Assessment Requirements, terms and conditions, proposal preparation and pricing requirements/templates, compliance matrices and supplier profiles
Preparation of Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, and Memorandums of Agreement
Administers resulting subcontracts, ensuring that all requirements are performed in accordance with the scope of work and delivery schedules.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor degree and 6 or more years of work experience in supply chain, contracts, or business management; government or related experience; will also consider Masters degree and 4 or more years of supply chain, contracts, business management or related experience.
A current active security clearance
US Citizen
Demonstrated interpersonal and people leadership skills; ability to leverage professional relationships
Experience working independently using sound judgment for problem solving
Proven multitasking ability; resilience when faced with multiple deadlines and competing priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
Past experience performing successfully in a buying, supply chain planning, or supply chain program management role
Active Security Clearance
Knowledge of U.S. government and industry supply chain practices
Working knowledge of SAP or 1ERP
Expertise in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Masters Degree, or other advance degree (e.g. Law degree.)
Strong communication skills (verbal and written), time management skills, and information management skills
Detail oriented, strategic thinking, and analytical
Salary Range: $84,600 - $127,000The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
