Site Manager

The Site Manager is responsible for the end-to-end execution of on-site project activities, from mobilization through commissioning and final acceptance. This role leads all field operations, ensuring safe, on-time, and high-quality installation of automated material handling systems while acting as the primary on-site interface with the customer. This position is a key member of the project leadership team and drives coordination across engineering, controls, commissioning, subcontractors, and customer stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:  Site Execution & Leadership- Lead all on-site project activities from mobilization through commissioning and demobilization- Manage installation and integration of automated systems (shuttles, conveyors, AS/RS, robotics)- Drive daily execution to meet schedule, budget, and quality targets- Act as the on-site decision maker and escalation pointSafety & Compliance- Own site safety program and enforce all safety standards (OSHA / local regulations)- Conduct daily safety walks, toolbox talks, and audits- Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety procedures- Drive a zero-incident culturePlanning & Schedule Management- Develop and manage short-term and look-ahead schedules- Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors- Identify risks early and implement mitigation actions- Track progress vs. plan and adjust execution strategyStakeholder & Customer Management- Serve as primary on-site contact for the customer- Lead coordination meetings- Communicate progress, risks, and recovery plansInstallation & Quality Management- Oversee mechanical, electrical, and controls installation- Ensure installation meets engineering specifications- Manage punch lists and inspectionsCommissioning & Handover- Coordinate transition to commissioning teams- Support testing, validation, and acceptance- Lead site closeout and documentationReporting & Controls- Produce site reports (progress, risks, safety)- Track budget, productivity, and materials- Maintain documentation and support forecasting
