Data Governance Analyst

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Data Governance Analyst in Rosemont, Illinois. This role is in the field of data management, requiring the ability to analyze and resolve issues with varying data sets and work with metadata to build data quality rules. The job entails a focus on regulatory compliance and understanding data from a business perspective. Responsibilities: Analyze and interpret large data sets, identifying and resolving any issues encountered. Leverage knowledge of metadata to formulate and implement data quality rules within data management tools such as Informatica Data Quality. Translate English-based or other national language requirements from a business perspective into data quality metrics. Ensure continuous alignment of data with its source and rectify any discrepancies in interpretation. Contribute significantly to data governance initiatives within the organization, aligning with regulatory standards. Conduct comprehensive data analysis and initiate the building of data quality from the onset. Utilize SQL and Power BI in daily tasks to generate meaningful insights and facilitate data-driven decision making. Utilize skills in 'Apache Spark', 'Atlassian Jira', 'BusinessObjects Technologies', 'Erwin Data', 'Gap Analysis', 'AB Testing', 'Agile Scrum', 'Analytics', 'Business Intelligence (BI)', 'Business Requirement Document' to enhance job performance. Requirements Proficiency in Apache Spark Experience with Atlassian Jira Knowledge of BusinessObjects Technologies Familiarity with Erwin Data Ability to conduct Gap Analysis Experience with AB Testing Understanding of Agile Scrum methodology Strong analytical skills Expertise in Business Intelligence (BI) Ability to create Business Requirement Documents Excellent problem-solving skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Excellent attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems or a related field.
