Description:
Setup slitter heads
Use Micrometer/Caliper to conduct measurements
Feed strips of steel into re-coiler
Ensure proper tracking of steel during processing
Crop off tail ends of heavy gauge finished products
Log all coils processed in coil log
Observe/inspect material for any defects
Lift sheets of steel up to 100+lbs
Shifts&Pay
1st shift 7am-3:30pm
2nd shift 3pm - 11:30pm
$20 - $22 Starting
$24 after proven
$25.50 - $27 once lead
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
2+ years of experience operating a slitter machine
Ability to read a tape measure/caliper/micrometer
Steel Coils
Change out slitter heads
Lift 100+lbs
Experience working in a heavy industrial environment
Nice to have
Light Gauge/Galvanized Steel
Ability to operate a banding machine OR overhead crane
