PRIVATE Engineering (STL/CHICAGO) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative Assistant for support in our partner’s civil engineering office in Springfield, IL. This part-time temporary role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for supporting engineering teams in a fast-paced environment. We work with a lot of engineering, marketing, and business majors. This could also turn into an internship after the temp period. We welcome anyone who fits the abilities listed below.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to civil engineering staff, including document preparation, filing, and data entry
Assist with scheduling meetings, coordinating project timelines, and maintaining calendars
Manage incoming calls and correspondence professionally
Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
Support project tracking and assist with basic project documentation
Liaise with vendors, clients, and internal teams as needed
Might answer phones
Could be some lifting of packages
Qualifications:
Prior experience in an administrative role, preferably in engineering or technical environments
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Familiarity with civil engineering terminology or project workflows is a plus (if not, you can learn!)
High school diploma required
Knows their way around a keyboard

On-site at our partner’s Springfield, IL office
