It is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as the company may deem necessary.Inspect components to determine if they are compliant to specificationsDocument inspection results as requiredSubmit Non-Conformance reports for goods failing inspectionInterpret detailed blueprints, work orders and engineering specificationsCalibrate and perform additional studies on gauges dailyNotify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying these problemsDiscuss inspection results with those responsible for productsRecord inspection data using established programs and softwareComply with all safety and sanitation regulationsInspects wiring of assemblies for accuracy of stripping, soldering, and crimping, and for defects, such as frayed wires, loose connections, and cracksVerifies wire and cable length, dimensions, and clearance of parts, using precision instrumentsTests continuity and performance of parts, assemblies, and accessories, using test equipmentSupport Quality Engineers with identifying non-conforming conditions that present existing or impending defective conditions at the system or subsystem level of assemblySupport other inspection departments when neededPhysical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:Ability to walk/stand for long periods of timeLift and move a minimum of 30 pounds without assistanceWorking with small partsRepetitive hand/arm useWork EnvironmentProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerSome of the work time is spent in a warehouse environment where temperatures are often warm or cool, depending upon the season, and noise level can be moderate to high
