Description To apply to this role, please send your resume to Valerie Herron at valerie.herron@roberthalf.c0mWe are seeking a Staff Accountant to be based in Wooddale, Illinois, within our Manufacturing industry team. In this role, you will be tasked with preparing, analyzing, and reviewing financial statements. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, coordinating accounting matters with other departments, and supporting other functions as required. Responsibilities: Analyze and compile accounting activities and maintain records of account entries Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other documents to project the organization's financial position Review financial statements for completeness, accuracy, and compliance Oversee accounting operations or a complex segment of the accounting function Coordinate accounting matters with other departments and support other functions as required Prepare and code invoices, set up new accounts, and close monthly books Perform various account reconciliations & accruals and prepare journal entries Maintain accounting software systems Prepare documentation for external auditors Adhere to all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures Use skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP.Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or relevant role in the manufacturing industry. Proficiency in accounting software, including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management. Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations. Familiarity with General Ledger operations and Journal Entries. Ability to handle Month End Close activities. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must adhere to the highest standards of ethics and professional conduct.
