The mission of this position is to manage and coordinate all Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) activities for the location to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and achievement of organizational ESH targets and budget objectives.Key Responsibilities:Safety Compliance & Regulatory ManagementEnsure compliance with OSHA requirements and local and corporate EHS systems, policies, and practicesServe as safety management interface with regulatory agencies and external stakeholdersImplement and maintain required regulatory health and safety programs including but not limited to the Injury and Illness Prevention Program, Hazardous Communication Program, Emergency Action Plan, Hearing Conservation Program, and Lockout/Tagout ProgramTranslate corporate standards and policies into appropriate site-specific proceduresEnvironmental Management & ComplianceSupport site environmental compliance activities, including permits, inspections, recordkeeping, and required regulatory reportingCoordinate environmental programs related to waste management, air emissions, stormwater, wastewater, chemical storage, and spill prevention, as applicable to the siteTrack environmental performance, corrective actions, and ESH objectives; support environmental audits and continuous improvement initiativesServe as the site contact for environmental topics with corporate resources, regulatory agencies, vendors, and contractorsSafety Oversight & Risk ManagementProvide day-to-day oversight of safety and health programs across all operationsIdentify, assess, and evaluate conditions that could result in accidents, injuries, or financial lossesExercise authority to take immediate corrective action when unsafe conditions are identified, including the authority to stop work operations when necessaryConduct hazard assessments through inspections, self-assessment audits, and safety walks; provide recommendations for corrective and preventive measuresProgram Development & FacilitationSupport the Safety Point Role and facilitate safety compliance at the team levelCoordinate industrial hygiene monitoring and health programsSupport the Safety Recognition Program to promote positive safety cultureFacilitate regular meetings to review accident reports, safety concerns, and safety improvement projectsTraining & CommunicationDeliver new hire safety training and ongoing safety education programsProvide routine interface and communication with the corporate safety departmentEnsure effective dissemination of safety information and best practices across the organizationAdditional ResponsibilitiesPerform other ESH-related tasks as assigned
