As a progressive utility committed to innovation, member satisfaction and employee development, we continuously invest in preventive maintenance, equipment and infrastructure upgrades, advanced technology and training.Position SummaryThe Journeyman Lineman is responsible for the construction, operation, replacement, and maintenance of electric distribution lines, structures and equipment to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of power to our members. This work includes both primary and secondary circuits on energized and de-energized lines and encompasses overhead and underground distribution systems.The Journeyman Lineman may direct and oversee the work of Groundmen or Apprentice Linemen as needed and must adhere to all Cooperative safety policies, operating procedures and technical standards. This is a bargaining unit position and subject to random drug and alcohol testing per FMCSA regulations and Cooperative policies.
