Hello! My grandma is a bright and very sharp 92 years old, but due to back pain, she has some trouble cooking for herself and doing some light organizing/cleaning of her apartment.
She is very bright and loves reading, grew up in India and so speaks Hindi and loves Indian food. Not your typical 92-year old, no memory issues, not a curmudgeonly old woman, quite the opposite! She is sweet and thoughtful and smart. Talking to her is like talking to someone half her age.
We are looking for someone who could cook breakfast/lunch and do some light tidying up (making the bed, taking out the trash, etc), about 8-10 hours/week, 4 days a week, for 2-3 hours each day, starting at $25/hr, but with the potential to increase. Must be able to do some physical work, walk up and down stairs, and lift up to 20-30 lbs. She has no allergies and no dietary restrictions, but she does have a cat if you are allergic!
This is ideal for a college student, or the partner/wife of a college student. Female preferred, Indian cooking a plus. My grandma is fun to talk to, so ideally we are looking for someone who could hold a conversation, and someone who is sweet and gentle.
