ABOUT THE JOB: In this position you will have the opportunity to ensure the plant is in compliance with generally accepted maintenance principles while working independently requiring limited supervision. YOUR ROLE:  The bullet points below reflect roughly 80% of your job. We are a fast-paced company, you may be pulled in a variety of different direction with tasks added or changed.Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.Perform regular preventive maintenance tasks on machines, equipment, and systems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support major repairs, upgrades, and improvement projectsSafely accomplish assigned tasksMust be willing to work overtime as needed.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop equipment specifications and proactive maintenance strategiesComply with safety regulationsMaintain clean and orderly work areasOther duties as assigned BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:  High School Graduate/HSE or equivalent manufacturing experienceExcellent written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skillsManage ambiguity while working through stressful situationsPositive attitude and a willingness to work with othersBasic machining skillsBasic welding skillsAbility to work independently as well as part of a groupMust own hand toolsStrong troubleshooting skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:   Experience with Lockout/Tagout, Hot Work PermitsOutstanding attendancePrevious Maintenance ExperienceAbility to read blueprints and machine control schematics    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Physical demands of performing the duties of this job are outlined in the area specific Physical Demands Analysis.  Please discuss this with your supervisor and HR team for more details. NON- PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Include but are not limited to time pressures, frequent change of tasks, irregular work schedule/overtime, multi-tasking, working closely with others as a team, and tedious or exacting work. WORK ENVIRONMENT:While performing the duties of this job, the associate works around mechanical hazards, noise and or vibration daily.  Extreme temperatures, wetness / humidity and being outdoors. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. COMPUTER SKILLS:Ability to run respective inventory system (Great Plains, E21, MES etc.). LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to complete daily Pre-Use Inspection Sheets.
