Salary Range : $16.52 - $24.78 HourlyJob DetailsThe stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible.CNO Financial Group is hiring a Customer Support Specialist to be responsible for incoming calls from policyholders and insurance agents. This role provides information regarding claim benefits, policy status, policy benefits, billing and premium information in the most efficient way possible. The Customer Support Specialist provides this information by the use of various internal systems.This is your opportunity to make every caller feel they have made the right choice in selecting our products to service all of their insurance needs.As a Customer Support Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

Handling inbound claim and policyholder calls by using over twenty different systems

Guiding the policyholder and agents through the claims submission process and assess benefit eligibility

Researching policyholder inquires, considering the terms of the policy as it relates to the policy and/or claim, and respond within specified timeframes

Providing consistent detailed customer service support on multiple product lines to policyholders and/or representatives by explaining policy coverage, claim filing eligibility and requirements

Handling complex customer situations involving multiple departments

Performing necessary research and working cross-functionally to escalate and resolve problems

Promptly and accurately assessing and processing incoming verbal and written requests from our customers

Resourcefully investigating customer issues to produce transactions efficiently

Providing information regarding claim, policy status, policy benefits, billing and premiums

Interacting with management, policyholders, and other internal departments on all customer service-related issues (back office and other internal groups supporting overall high-quality customer service)

Maintaining sound customer relationships

Guiding new staff and answering questions regarding established procedures and guidelines

Working independently in a structured environment to analyze and problem solve while demonstrating the ability to meet or exceed departmental quality goals

The Customer Support Specialist position is well-suited for you if you:

Exhibit excellent oral & written communication

Use sound judgment, considering all relevant facts and data when making decisions

Understand and prioritize the needs of the customer

Manage workloads and partner with team members to meet/exceed objectives and goals

Demonstrate excellent business systems/computer skills: Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel), Business specific systems: (Mainframe Applications, Imaging, etc.)

Are able to multitask in a fast-paced environment by handling questions and concerns with speed, accuracy, and professionalism.

High School Diploma

Willingness to work central or eastern time zone business hours

1 year of inbound and outbound customer service experience
