Overall Purpose and Objective of Position: This position loads and unloads liquid products at a soybean crushing and biodiesel plant. Primary functions are to unload trucks and railcars with incoming ingredients and to load trucks and railcars with final products. Responsible for complying with all applicable Company standards and government regulations.Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:Loads and unloads trucks and railcars with products, using computerized control stations, meters and scales. Ensures the timely receipt and delivery of all handled products.Loads and unloads flammable liquids.Inspects material handling equipment and performs routine adjustments and maintenance as required.Ensures compliance with Company safety rules and wears Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) as required in fulfillment of assigned responsibilities.Responds to equipment issues or alarms; investigates and initiates resolutions.Additional Responsibilities:Ensures work area is kept clean and free from safety hazards.Completes tasks as assigned by plant superintendents and Shift Leaders.Serves as the liaison between plant superintendents and the production staff.Actively participates in Shift/Team activities including complying with best practices, standard operating procedures, development and maintenance and continuous improvement efforts.Actively participates in job-related training as required.
