DescriptionSAIC is seeking a Drafter-CAD Operator in Crane, INJOB DESCRIPTION:This position will provide drafting and documentation support for NSWC Crane Maneuver, Surveillance, and Engagement Systems Division, Code JXWQ. This role will support a dedicated team creating/updating Technical Data Package(s) using SolidWorks 3D parametric Software. The ideal candidate must be able to understand, preform and be trained quickly and efficiently to the processes and procedures that are required by the tasking given.JOB DUTIES:

Creates and modifies detailed models and drawings using SolidWorks and other 3D parametric CAD Software(s)

Works closely with the Customer, Engineers, Technicians and other CAD Operators to capture design

Works independently as well as in a collective team effort to effect changes to design and/or documentation

Executes a diverse array of tasks ranging from moderate to complex, employing a wide range of precision instruments such as calipers, gauges, tape measures, rulers, and additional mechanical devices to enhance design development, alongside verification and validation processes.

QualificationsREQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of related experience using 3D parametric software; SolidWorks preferred.

Experience using other 3D CAD software is a plus and will be considered with one or more of the following programs:Solid Edge, AutoDesk, Inventor, and Creo.

Understanding of basic CADoperations and procedures associated to Drawing Standards.

Understanding ofGeometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing of Technical Drawings and Data Packages.

Hands-on mechanical/electro-mechanical knowledge and aptitude with understanding of currently acceptedmanufacturing processes and ISO procedures.

Must be detail oriented and able to communicate complex ideas in a production floor environment.

Ability to quickly complete tasking independently and as a team member, with detailed or generalinstructions.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge of ASME-Y14.100, MIL-STD-31000.

Understanding of Military standards.

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
