OverviewLOGISTICIAN (F3500 2024-20445):Bowhead seeks a Logistician in material movement to join our team in Crane, IN. The Logisticians are responsible for managing a product's life cycle from design to disposal and must be able to develop, adjust and carry out logistical plans related to various products. Logisticians are required to properly allocate materials, supplies and products to ensure the success of the contract and must have excellent communication and problem solving skills. The Logisticians must also keep accurate and complete record and be able to work in a fast-paced environment requiring excellent organizational skills.ResponsibilitiesEssential functions will include:

Receive material using OM&S guidelines.

Record receipt, control, and acceptance to ensure the material is able to be accurately recorded in NAVSEA ERP.

Identify non-conforming material and segregate the non-conforming material by providing the material to the Receiving Inspection team.

Track the status of the process steps for the non-conforming material and assist the Receiving Inspection personnel in the returning the non-conforming material to the vendor or staging for disposal.

Support tasking associated with the demilitarization and/or disposition of excess and beyond economical repair (BER) radar equipment, in accordance with the business rules set forth by DRMO (Defense Reutilization Management Office).

Ensure that parts received be verified per material specifications in the procedure parts list, drawings, and technical manuals prior to placement in storage locations.

Verify the parts packed during kitting shall be verified against the procedure parts list prior to inclusion in the kit

Generate DD1149 shipping documents in ERP.

Prepare the asset(s) or part(s) for shipment.

Generate any key supporting document for warehouse movements including but not limited to DD1348, induction/turn in request, 1072-FM- 0022 Material Movement Form, RFI’s, and etc. per OM&S guidelines.

Analyze and research equipment in inventory.

Qualifications

Experience with Material Movement Paperwork

An Associate’s degree is desired or a minimum of at least five (2+) years of experience however additional experience may be substituted for formal education for highly qualified candidates.

An understanding an application of logistics principles, concepts, practices and standards. Knowledge of industry practices an application to government practices.

Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts

Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
